September 10th, our institute held a kickoff meeting for the 2024 National Natural Science Foundation project application work in Room 401 of Shaw Building. Dean Fan Zhaobing, Vice Dean Zheng Xiongbo, team leaders, and some young teachers attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Ding Xinbing.
Vice President Zheng Xiongbo summarized the application status of the National Natural Science Foundation for 2023 and deployed the application work for 2024. Sun Lizhu, who won the general project this year, shared her application experience. Each team leader reported on their team's fund application plan for this year, and communicated and shared with young teachers on the preparations required for the fund application at this stage.
Finally, Fan Zhaobing made an overall deployment for the application work of this year's natural fund. Fan Zhaobing pointed out that young teachers should consider applying for the National Natural Science Fund as one of the important channels to enhance their personal research ability. Team leaders should take responsibility and help young teachers gradually establish academic and industry influence, and make good planning and layout. The college should do a good job in organizing, guiding, and quality control, taking the application for natural fund as a breakthrough point, further refining the direction of individual teachers and teams, targeting international cutting-edge issues in the field of basic research, and forming individual and team characteristic academic labels.
