Lately，The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, National Postdoctoral Regulatory Commission issued Notice on Approval of 510 Postdoctoral Research Center Including Studies in Philosophy from Northeast Normal University. The postdoctoral Research Center got approved for the College of Mathematical Sciences. This is the 13th postdoctoral Research Center in HEU.
Postdoctoral researchers are the young and fresh blood for both teaching and research. Postdoctoral research center, as one of the most important platforms to cultivate high-level innovative young talent, plays a vital role in facilitating the development of disciplines, in the construction of teaching team and in improving the quality of scientific research and academic innovation.
In response to the national strategic demand and focusing on international frontier academic research, the College of Mathematical Sciences focuses on the application of mathematics in shipbuilding engineering, marine engineering, nuclear science and technology as well as in other basic disciplines. Remarkable achievements have been made by offering first-class doctoral programs in “mathematics” in 2018 and by offering postdoctoral research center in mathematics”, which shall further serve the development of mathematical researches so as to facilitate the “Double First-Class” and the high-quality development of HEU.
