On the afternoon of June 17, a six-member delegation from the School of Science at Northwest A&F University, led by Dean’s Assistant and Director of the University Mathematics Teaching Center, Xiaoli Xie, visited the School of Mathematical Sciences for a research exchange. Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Dean, Huanzhang Ling, and other faculty members attended the meeting, which was hosted by Professor Yanyou Chai, Director of the Public Mathematics Teaching and Research Department.

Huanzhang Ling welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to strengthen inter-institutional relationships. He introduced the history of the School of Mathematical Sciences, its faculty structure and the advancements made in both teaching and research. Xiaoli Xie, in turn, provided an overview of the historical development, faculty team-building strategies and academic achievements of Northwest A&F University’s School of Science.
The meeting progressed with presentations from Yanyou Chai, Shujuan Wang and Mingye Zhou, who discussed the public foundational mathematics courses, the organization and training for mathematics competitions and strategies for fostering the teaching and research collaboration of young faculty members.
During the open exchange session, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on party-building initiatives, disciplinary development, and innovative talent cultivation models. The dialogue highlighted opportunities for future cooperation and development strategies, establishing a robust foundation for mutual advancement. Both parties agreed to enhance collaboration in party-building and talent training, aiming for high-quality development of their respective institutions.
