Harbin Engineering University’s First Dual-Bachelor’s Degree Interdisciplinary Program Approved

Building on its unique strengths in shipbuilding, marine equipment, ocean exploration, and nuclear energy applications, Harbin Engineering University has successfully launched and received approval for its first dual-bachelor’s degree interdisciplinary talent development program. This program, “Mathematics and Applied Mathematics + Artificial Intelligence,” integrates foundational mathematics with advanced artificial intelligence technology.

The “Mathematics and Applied Mathematics + Artificial Intelligence” program is grounded in the university’s two first-level doctoral disciplines: Mathematics and Intelligent Science and Technology. The program follows an educational model that emphasizes complementary foundations, technology-driven learning, and a strong focus on interdisciplinary applications and practical integration. This approach is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both the fundamental theories and specialized skills in mathematics and artificial intelligence while fostering their ability to address complex challenges that arise at the intersection of these fields.
