The National Tianyuan Mathematics Northeast Center plans to hold an online summer training program for young outstanding teachers from July to August 2020. The training program will be hosted by Harbin Engineering University and will offer two tracks: “Lie Algebras, Hall Algebras, and Quantum Groups” and “Mathematical Methods in Data Science and Image Analysis”. Through live online lectures, the program aims to train young teachers and outstanding doctoral students from universities. Renowned experts in the fields of algebra and data science & image analysis will be invited to introduce the main theories and methods in these research areas to the participating students. It is hoped that this program will help young teachers improve their skills in algebra-related fields, data science, and image analysis, enabling them to grasp key theories, essential research tools, and typical research methods, thus laying a solid foundation for further learning, teaching, and research.
