On December 7, the School of Mathematical Sciences participated in Harbin Engineering University’s grand “Snow Ship Welcomes the Asian Winter Games” event at the Military Engineering Field. The activity brought together over 1,600 students and faculty members from 18 schools to celebrate the upcoming 9th Asian Winter Games.
Under the guidance of Vice Secretary Zhi Qu and Advisor Haohui Zhang, 75 mathematics students actively participated in snow-cleaning activities to create large-scale art combining the mascots of the Winter Games, “Bin Bin” and “Ni Ni” ,and the aircraft carrier “Fujian Ship”. Divided into three groups, the students worked tirelessly to clear the snow and bring their design to life, showcasing teamwork and determination.
This unique initiative blended national pride with creative expression, strengthening bonds within the school community. It also offered students an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cultural event, reinforcing their dedication to the university’s mission of fostering patriotism and innovation.
